Configuring the response footer

Every message Onyx sends ends with a short footer line. You can customize this text on paid plans.

Default behavior

On the Hobby plan, every response includes a fixed watermark:

-# Powered by Onyx

This cannot be changed or removed on Hobby.

Customizing the footer (Starter+)

On Starter, Growth, and Scale plans, you can set your own footer text or remove it entirely:

1. Log in to your Onyx dashboard.
2. Go to Configuration in the left sidebar.
3. Scroll to the Response Footer card.
4. Enter your custom footer text, or clear the field to disable the footer.
5. Click Save.

Changes take effect for all future responses immediately.

Footer text requirements

• If set, the footer must be at least 10 characters.
• Leave the field blank to send responses with no footer at all.
• There is no maximum length, but shorter footers look better in Discord.

Why it matters

The footer appears on every single response Onyx sends. On Hobby, it lets users know the bot is powered by Onyx. On paid plans, you can replace it with your own branding, a disclaimer, or remove it entirely to keep responses clean.
