Discord message builder

Design the message here. Post it as your bot.

Containers, galleries, select menus and buttons that do things, with a live preview as you type. No account to start. When it looks right, sign in and OnyxBot posts it in your server.

Why this beats a webhook builder

A webhook can paint an embed. It cannot answer a click, edit what it posted last month, or keep a template for next time.

Posts as your own bot

A webhook message belongs to nobody. This one is posted by OnyxBot, or by your own bot on the dedicated plan, with the App badge and a real author.

Buttons that open tickets and toggle roles

A webhook cannot answer a click. Here a colored button opens a ticket in a category you choose, or gives and takes a role; a select menu does the same for several at once.

Saved messages as templates

Every message you post stays in your library. Duplicate the styled announcement when there is news, change the copy, post the copy.

Update a posted message in place

Rules change. Edit the saved message and update the posted copy where it is, so pinned rules and an FAQ keep their spot and their link.

Import your discohook JSON

Paste a discohook export or a Discord message object and it becomes blocks: content and embeds are rebuilt, Components v2 comes over block for block.

Composer lives in the OnyxBot dashboard next to the ticket panels, the AI knowledge and the rest of the support desk. The public builder is the same editor without a server behind it.

Message builder FAQ

What is a Components v2 message?

Components v2 is the newer way Discord lets bots lay out a message: containers with an accent edge, sections with a thumbnail or a button beside the text, text blocks with Markdown, image galleries, separators, and rows of buttons or select menus. It replaces the embed with blocks you stack in any order. Only an application can post one, which is why this builder posts through OnyxBot rather than a webhook.

What are the limits?

Discord allows 40 components and 4,000 characters of text per message, counted across every block. A row holds up to 5 buttons or one select menu, a select menu up to 25 options, a gallery up to 10 images, and a section up to 3 text blocks. Containers cannot be nested. The meter under the blocks shows where you stand, and anything over a limit is listed before you post.

Is the message builder free?

Yes. Designing here needs no account, and posting is free on every OnyxBot plan. The free plan keeps 3 saved messages per server; Pro removes that cap. Nothing you design is sent anywhere until you sign in and post it yourself.

Can I import my discohook backups?

Yes. The JSON menu accepts a discohook export, a message object straight from Discord, and the JSON this builder copies out. Components v2 messages come over block for block. Older messages are rebuilt: the content becomes a text block and every embed becomes a container with its title, description, fields, image, thumbnail, footer and author turned into blocks. Colored buttons arrive without an action, because discohook cannot know about your ticket categories and roles; pick one for each, or make the button a link.

Does it need the bot in my server?

Designing does not. Posting does: the message is sent by OnyxBot, so it has to be in the server you post to, with permission to send messages in that channel. Buttons that open tickets or toggle roles are handled by the bot as well. Adding OnyxBot takes a minute and the free plan has no time limit.
