How does pricing work?
Onyx uses a simple model: your plan price equals your monthly AI usage budget. There are no per-seat costs, no hidden fees, and no overages.

How usage works
Every time Onyx answers a question, a small amount is deducted from your usage budget. The deduction reflects the real cost of running the AI model for that response. When your budget reaches zero, Onyx stops responding until your usage resets.
You are never charged above your plan price. There are no overages.
Monthly vs. yearly billing
All plans are available on a monthly or yearly basis.
Yearly plans come with a 20% discount compared to paying month-to-month. On a yearly plan, your full annual usage budget is provisioned upfront at the start of your subscription year — you're not restricted to spending just one month's worth at a time. The budget resets on your annual renewal date.
Tracking usage
Your dashboard shows your current usage, remaining budget, and a day-by-day activity chart. You'll also receive an email alert before you approach your limit.
Upgrading or downgrading
You can change your plan at any time from Dashboard → Billing. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period.
