What plugins are
A plugin connects Onyx to a platform you already run, per server. Turn one on from Plugins in the dashboard and three things happen: its slash commands appear in your Discord server within seconds, its settings drawer opens up, and the AI starts using whatever that platform knows.
That last part is the point. Onyx is a support bot first, so a plugin is not just a set of commands bolted on the side. It feeds the front line: the AI can tell a member the game server is down because it can see that it is, or that the bug they hit is already tracked because it can see the issue.

Turning one on
- Open Plugins in your server dashboard and pick one.
- Fill in the drawer. Anything secret (a store key, a server token, an access token) is encrypted before it is stored and is never shown back to you, only replaced.
- Flip the switch at the top. Commands register with Discord immediately.
If Discord rejects the registration, the switch does not flip and the card tells you why. The most common cause is the bot's command permission having been revoked in Server Settings → Integrations; re-authorizing fixes it.
Who can use the commands
Every plugin gates its commands on roles you choose, checked when the command actually runs. Server administrators always pass. Discord's own command permissions only control who sees a command in the picker, so the roles in the drawer are the real gate.
Tebex and GitHub split this in two: a read tier for looking things up, and a write tier for anything that changes money, entitlements, or your repository. If a tier has no roles, only administrators can use it.
Turning one off
Flipping a plugin off removes its commands from Discord and stops every runtime behavior immediately. Your settings and credentials stay, so turning it back on is one switch. Nothing is deleted until you remove the server.
